Scotland is the country in the north of England, it is a part of Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) and of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland).

Scottish people are called Scots. Scots people are British, because Scotland is part of Britain, but don’t call them English! Scots and the English are different.
